Peeling Kitchen Cabinet

When i painted our cabinets i used krud killer to degrease them then sanded them a little then used a primer and a good satin paint.
The best way to do it is to use a heat gun to soften the adhesive and pull the laminate off in sections starting with the edging. Clean the cabinets thoroughly with water dish detergent and a sponge. Well to update the kitchen i recently painted the cabinets bright white and they look fantastic. If the mdf itself is bulging or is in any condition other than completely flat and smooth there is really no point in trying to repair the cabinets.
Here are the steps. Step 1 glue if there are just small sections of veneer coming away from the vinyl cabinets you can fix this with glue. If your cabinets are already smooth and you re ready to jump in with the primer make sure you use a grease cutting cleaner on them first. I like sherwin williams but that s just personal preference.
Vacuum up loose particles and thoroughly clean area to be painted with a norwex cloth and water. Push the laminate into the glue. Remove and or glue down any thermafoil that is peeling. Just peeling slide a corner of sandpaper between the laminate and substrate and gently scuff up the wood or particle board.
