I m building a 5500 sq ft home in north york toronto.
Most kitchen designs focus on how to incorporate a lot of cabinets for plenty of kitchen storage. Where the hell do we get unfinished shaker cabinets that aren t as expensive as finished cabinets. If you are new. Until today i never gave any thought to considering a kitchen without cabinets.
For example if your kitchen ceiling is 96 tall typical in many homes you will have 36 typical for base cabinets and countertop 18 typical for backsplash and 42 left over for wall cabinets. 2 adults and 2 kids. The ones we liked showed up well before we were ready to demo our kitchen so i ended up stacking them in my basement for 15 months before they were finally installed. Today s kitchens have a lot of stuff a gazillion small appliances utensils gadgets dry food high tech stuff like amazon echo bowls of fresh food and so much more.
