This video shows the correct way to scribe a cabinet. If you try to use that wall as the guide to square your cabinets as you hang them they ll end up out of level out of plumb or both. This will create gaps between the wall and the cabinet where the walls are not level. Place your four foot level across the front of the cabinet and check for levelness.
What can i do. An open space of 6 or more inches can hide a lot of variation. Uneven ceilings can create issues in kitchens when it comes to crown or other mouldings that finish out the tops of cabinets. Foundations can move etc.
One line of attack with an out of level ceiling is to keep the cabinets well below the ceiling plane. If the cabinet is not level tap wooden wedges behind it beside it or under it to level it. That s just something the installer must account for so he can install the countertops level using shims or whatever necessary. The easiest and also the quickest solution to fit kitchen cabinets on uneven wall is to simply fix one or two wooden battens that will play the role of a guideway for all cabinets.

They cannot fit by being orientated to gravity rather than to the walls they re attached to unless or course gravity and walls happen to coincide. Leave the cabinets short. The solution was removing the trim and leaving open space between the top of the cabinets and the ceiling. Step 2 trace around the base cabinet with a pencil or marker to mark its footprint on the floor of the kitchen.
