All well and good. They are the top choice for paint on a diy cabinet project hands down. The dry time is insanely fast. Milk paint is my go to paint for that chippy look.
I ve been gone from blogging for sooooo long that i seriously had to relearn how to upoad a photo. I can use milk paint inside the house any time of the year. Although it s quite durable it will be stained by many common kitchen substances including oils whether from a bottle a stick of butter or just your hands. The application is quick easy and streak free. This ended up not too yellow not too blue just a gorgeous warm white. And mms milk paint will definitely make a showing in the new house. I d like to think that things have started to slow down a bit but i d be lying if i told you that.
Back in october i decided to paint my kitchen island with milk paint and it truly was the easiest experience i have ever had painting cabinets. Painting cabinets is truly a pain in the rear but i found milk paint much easier to work with. Here are a few of the reasons i found for using milk paint to paint your kitchen cabinets. Now let s address each of these and see if they are really accurate.
The only downside is that it will require a good chalk paint wax or top coat for a lot of use. Fast drying i loved this you can re coat in just two hours. But if you re going to finish kitchen cabinets with milk paint i strongly recommend applying protective topcoats over the paint. Please remember these are my thoughts on it someone else may have a completely different experience than what i had.
