You can t make the room square unless you want to rebuild it so the best approach is to split the difference and leave angles on both sides of the room.
The biggest issue when setting this type of floor is consistency of nailing. The first three boards set the tone and direction for the floor. My husband checked the floor with a t square and thinks that the problem is the installer did not snap his caulk line correctly. When installing laminate floors in an unsquare room the approach is the same as it is for engineered or solid hardwood.
Since wood is a dimensionally imperfect material this can be a challenge to get right but the extra effort is worth the time investment. Now you re ready to start installing your flooring. Let hardwood acclimate in the room you re installing it in for five days prior to installation. I have seen two different guys working on the same run of floor one on the left side one on the right side of the room and because one hits the flooring nailer harder than the other the floor was run at an angle by the time they got across the floor not much but enough to notice.
