Floors must be stiff with minimum deflection under load. Remove the tray and store aside for the moment. Fitting a wet room floor grid grill or floor plate leading down directly into the trap sits the floor grid or outlet plate. Set the height of the drain to the top of the screed remembering that you will need to create a fall to the drain.
Spread a coat of rapid setting cement polymer modified cement based adhesive onto the floor and lay orbry boards into the adhesive. Paint the entire floor area including the new plywood with wood floor primer. Using a brush or roller apply the formsafe primer to all wall and floor junctions and across the floor area being waterproofed. Remove and store the stainless steel frame and grill in a safe place prior to screeding. Cut the tape to size and fold into a 3 dimensional corner shape. Use the formsafe reinforcing tape to make up any required corners. Should any water seep under the grid it will of course go directly into the trap.
